Short Testimony:
I grew up in a home that was committed to Jesus Christ. I was born and my parents were new christians, passionate about living out their faith. When I was about 7 years old when my sunday school teacher said Jesus was knocking on the door of my heart. I went home freaked out. My dad explained what an analogy was, and then explained who Jesus was and what he did. I wanted to give him my life so I did. I was passionate about the church when I was in 4th grade. (I got an NIV Study Bible for my 8th Birthday.) That passion grew in Middle School where my pastor taught me how to walk daily with God. In High School I learned to serve. In College I started working with students. It was in 1999 that I realized I loved the church and wanted to give my life to the ministry of the local church. I graduated from Biola and am currently working on a Masters degree at Haggard Seminary. I've been at 1BL since 2008 and I absolutely love working with students here!

Why do you serve in MSM?
Because I am passionate about students growing in their faith and seeing entire families become a part of the church.

How I came to know Jesus:

Why do you go to church?
Because I want to Know God more, make him Known in everything I do, and live in community with people who want the same thing. Oh, and the donuts. I'd say all those things.

Why work with Middle School Students?
Because someone made an investment in me when I was a student and it had a powerful impact. I love the opportunity to be there for others during this time.
What was your first word as a baby?
Turtle. (2 syllables, so my parents thought I'd be brilliant.)

Philippians 2:5-10
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
The coolest place on the planet you've ever been?
Tough call... I've really loved 3 places for 3 very different reasons.
Uganda, Africa- The friends I made and the work we did was life changing.
Paris, France- The city is beautiful, the art is breath taking. I could chill there for a while.
Jerusalem, Israel- The old city walls are a place of rich history and it was amazing to study God's word where it was written.
What's you're most embarrassing moment?
I ripped my pants at a junior high over night event when I was in 7th grade. I spent the whole night walking awkwardly trying to cover it up.
What's currently you're favorite attribute of God?
Grace. Who he is and who I am, and he pursues me??? Makes zero sense to me. But it made sense to him, and he has ALL wisdom and ALL understanding (Ephesians 1:8). That is... well I don't have adjectives to truly describe what that is. So, I'll just say... that is good.
