This week Trent taught on what it means to love according to the Bible. He looked at John 15:9-14. In these passages Jesus makes it clear that love is not just about the emotions that we feel. It is not about going up to our room and crying like the three-year old girl did, because she loved Justin Bieber. Instead, love is about sacrifice. Jesus gives the best example of love for us when Jesus dies on the cross. We should have that kind of love, sacrificial love towards others, rather than simply having dramatic emotions towards others. This means that we need to be willing to focused on how we can do acts of service towards other people, rather than focusing on these emotions.-Jason
