Jason, what did you think?
This week our very own Nick Ranieri shared the story of Gideon, a man who in spite of his doubts and worries was used by God to deliver Israel from the Midianites. With only three hundred men, God was able to lead Gideon's men to victory over the 135,000 Midianites that were against them. The story shows that God was able to use a man who was full of fear to do what God wanted to be done. God could have always decided to use a different man who would not have needed so many signs from God, but God decided to use this man that was from a weak family and a little afraid. In a similar way, God can use us to do his will even though we might be a bit scared and not very strong. After all, it is God who ultimately takes the credit, and God can use any person he wants to accomplish his goals. We just need to trust in him and follow even when we are scared. This is also true even when we are sharing our faith. God will use us, even if we are scared and not very talented. It is about what God does through us when we share our faith, not about what we do.
